“Meld Apparel was incredibly fortunate to be selected as a business in New Frontiers 2020/2021. The stipend was the carrot that lead me to apply for the program; but on reflection the training, mentors, access to facilities and wisdom gained were the true benefits of the course. Far outweighing the stipend in the value gained for my business! I would encourage any business considering working with the Tom Cream Centre in any way, to jump right in! My experience has been beyond positive in every way!”

“The Tom Crean Business Centre hosts a supportive environment that encourages entrepreneurs to excel. There are multiple business and networking opportunities for start-ups with the building located in the heart of the Kerry Technology Park and adjacent to the MTU Kerry facilities. My journey with Stathlete and as an entrepreneur began in the Tom Crean Business Centre. As I progressed through the various support programmes in the centre such as Student Inc. and New Frontiers, it became evident that the centre is designed for start-ups to flourish with access to an office space, experienced mentors and collaborative opportunities. Having full-time access to a facility and a network of experts has pushed Stathlete from concept to commercial in a short space of time. The knowledge and confidence I have gained towards building a sustainable business can be attributed to the support and facilities made available to me by the centre.”

“I was a participant of the New Frontiers Programme in 2019/ 2020. Although I had already been in business for a number of years, I was starting a new business and I felt that I would benefit from a programme such as New Frontiers. I wanted to know if my business idea was viable, if there was a market and what supports were available for start-ups. I can honestly say that the 6 months spent in the Tom Crean Centre was fantastic. I learned so much from the excellent facilitators and workshops and I left with a great business plan that I have used and referred to many times since. It was great going in everyday and meeting likeminded people who are all in the same boat, working hard to get their businesses off the ground.
Being an Enterprise Ireland client opens many doors and the opportunities to network are invaluable. I am still receiving support and mentorship from the team at the centre. I still refer to the many notes I have from the workshops. If you have a business idea and regardless of the experience you have, I would recommend the New Frontiers Program. I guarantee you will learn something new. Best of all you get the time and space to work on your business and get advice on every step you take. Good Luck!”

“I was a participant of the New Frontiers Programme at the Tom Crean Centre 2019-2020. Being part of this programme was a fantastic opportunity. The support, guidance, opportunities and networks this programme provided were invaluable and allowed me to take my business from concept to revenue generating in 6 months. The Tom Crean centre is a wonderful place to work. There is a great sense of community here as all businesses interact with each other. There was always someone there with experience and advice if you had any questions or dilemmas. It is well run with ample facilities, a large, bright canteen, a large board room and several meeting rooms. I found the location very convenient also, easy to access, just off the bypass and ample, free parking available. Starting out as an entrepreneur can be lonely when you are working for yourself. Having an office in the Tom Crean Centre was fantastic as it gives you that sense of community and belonging, while working on your own business. It also lends itself to great networking opportunities. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Tom Crean Centre and the New Frontiers Programme to any businesses or entrepreneurs in Kerry.”
